Be Interruptible

In this message from our Slow Down series, we look at the story of Bartimaeus and the interruptions Jesus faced in Luke 8 — a raging storm, a demon-possessed man, a bleeding woman, and a dying girl — to ask a simple question: what if the interruption is the assignment?

Jesus never treated the people who interrupted Him as a distraction from His purpose; He treated them as the point. This week we're challenged to slow down enough to notice the people around us, and to be desperate enough to interrupt our own plans to pursue Jesus. Because sometimes the interruption isn't in the way — it's the invitation.
